On a very sad note, i announce the loss of our great mother, Mrs Angelina Jaja. She died this morning, 20th July 2012 from a brief illness at St Gerard's Hospital Kaduna . Please pray for her family...RIP mama.

Great DEMOSAITES some weeks ago I brought to our attention an issue which centered around the BIRTHDAY of our one and only Mrs. ALAIYEMOLA. She was the Pioneering Vice Principal and Principal of our great alamata from inception in 1981 to late 90's. During this period, she was an embodiment of discipline and hard work.

Her birthday will be coming up on Tuesday 24th July 2012. I will appreciate if all DEMOSAITES all the world will store this date in their dairy or phone so that we give her a call and wish her a happy birthday.

The mode of operation will to call her introduce yourself by telling her your name, year or set and then the birthday message. Her phone 07037497639.

I will advise that we all try not to call her now, the beauty is for every one of us to Make that day the first time we will all start calling her.

I have posted a picture of Mrs. ALAIYEMOLA and the Lagos chapter of DEMOSA during one of her visit to Lagos. She currently owns and runs a school in Bauchi state.

Opening prayers was said by Mojisola (Badmus) Adejuyigbe at 3.07pm

Minutes of the last meeting was read by Kudi Olobayo  and Mojisola (Badmus) Adejuyigbe moved motion for adoption. Kudi Olobayo seconded.

Bola Olanrewaju apologized for coming late and keeping everyone waiting. Ninma Apim called to let us know he would be coming in late.

Mojisola (Badmus) Adejuyigbe and Omobolaji (Dada) Aiyedogbon were in attendance at the meeting for the first time. Segun Daramola welcomed them. He gave apology for not being able to bring along with him the Logo he promise to design and also the findings from CAC concerning our alumni’s registration. This was due to the fact that he had exams. He promised to get the information ready by next meeting.

John Ojuola said we should start working on our constitution. The name of our alumni was adopted as Demonstration Students’ Alumni Ahmadu Bello University (DEMOSA ABU). The National secretariat for now is Lagos since there is nothing on ground from our Alma Mata yet which is in Zaria, where the headquarters is suppose to be.  The Motto was deliberated upon and it was agreed that the Motto of Demonstration Secondary School should be adopted. Bola agreed to find out what the Motto is since she will be going to Zaria during the week. She promised to pay a visit to the school in Zaria. Segun Daramola was happy about this development.

Other aspect that was decided upon in the constitution include:

Ø  Aims and objectives

Ø  Powers and functions of the alumni

Ø  Membership

Ø  Officers

Ø  Qualification to hold office

Ø  Disqualification from holding any office

Ø  Chapters

Ø  Discipline

Ø  Annual dues and endowment funds

The meeting came to a close at 4.50pm and the closing prayers was said by Omobolaji Ayedogon.
