The meeting started at 3:20 with the above people present and opening prayers was said by Adesina Ogunyebi.

Due to various personal engagements held by the constant members on the day scheduled for meeting to hold in June, the meeting was postponed till July 1st.  Abdulateef Suberu read the minutes of the last meeting held in May. Dapo Daramola adopted the minutes of the meeting and Kudi Olobayo seconded.

John Ojuola, our PRO sent apology for not attending the meeting so also did Ninma Apim.

Abdulateef Suberu, Henry Gaji and Ogunyebi Adeshina were in attendance for the first time and they were welcomed by Dapo Daramola.

Due to low turnout of Demosaites at meetings, Dapo Daramola and Bola Olanrewaju decided that instead of making calls to members informing and reminding them of meeting dates, text messages will be used. We need people to be committed to this course if we have to enjoy all the benefits associated with Alumnus. Demonstration Secondary School is already thirty (30) years old. We should be proud to associate ourselves with our Alma Mata cause we have seen what other Alumnus have done to assist and support our friends that are associated with their own Alumni. Dapo Daramola still emphasized on the advantages of having an Alumni.

Abdulateef Suberu gave suggestion on how we could also contact Demosaites. He reliably informed us that ABU Alumni hold meetings at National Theatre every last Sunday of the month and there are Demosaites who attended the University that would be in attendance.

Ogunyebi Adesina suggested that we should get through to people in our year group or set first because we know ourselves better and are more in contact with each other. From there we could link up to other sets as we could not rule out the fact that we know or have friends from other year groups or sets.  Henry Gaji also supported and  welcomed the idea.

On the issues of enquiry from CAC concerning our registration, Dapo Daramola still apologized for not been able to get us the details we need to know. He did same concerning the DEMOSA logo sample he was to show us. Still on the Logo, Bola Olanrewaju saw one on faceboook used by an Old student as display picture. The House accepted it and agreed on necessary corrections and amendments that should be effected on it. A sample will be brought for the House to see.

Bola Olanrewaju said concerning the Constitution for the Alumni, that if we want to continue with the amendments we are doing on it, we have to devote another time, a Saturday preferable once a month to work on it. During meetings other issues will be discussed so as to save time. She also gave us a brief concerning her trip to Demonstration Secondary School, ABU Zaria in June 2012. The structures in the school are nothing to write home about. Repairs need to be done. She also had a chat with Mr. S.J. Ekpo (08034508448 / 08026720356) and two other Old students, Alemaka Joseph (08033725301) and Johnson Abiodun Agunsoye (08085888259)  who are teachers in the school in respect with activities of Alumni in the school. Mr. Ekpo explained that he assisted in getting an office for the Alumni which is now taken over by PTA cause of lack of use, negligence and attitude of students with the issue concerning Alumni. In his words “DEMOSA Alumni would have gone places if they had taken this thing serious from the on-set”. At a time he explained that money was been collected by some students on behalf of the Alumni but no traces of records or the money. Bola Olanrewaju, pleaded with him and the other Old students who are teachers in the school to work hand in hand with us, the Lagos chapter and restart again because this time, DEMOSA Alumni has come to stay.

She also met with Miss Kantiyok  and Mr. Obagaiye. Miss Kantiyok was happy to see her and advice that Old Students should come around once a while to check on the school.

Obiageli Anetoh joined the meeting and was welcomed by Dapo Daramola who briefly gave a recap of all that has been discussed before she arrived. She was overwhelmed seeing those that knew her from  the grassroot and memories of those days flow. She introduced herself likewise all present.

Kudi Olobayo moved the motion for adjournment.

Closing prayers was said by Obiageli Anetoh at 4:55pm
