OPENING
The meeting started at 2.25pm with opening prayers said by Bolaji Fodeke. The minutes of February meeting was read by Lateef Suberu. He also moved for adoption of the minutes while Dapo Segun Daramola seconded after necessary corrections were made.

APOLOGY
Abdullahi Mustapha Maikudi, Jude Iyamabo, Azeez Momodu  and Buki Dada sent in their apology for not being able to be present at the meeting. Tope M. Soladoye also could not make it down cause of the rains.

LOGO
The issue on acceptance of logo has been put to rest. No negative responses were received after the new logo with the navy blue color was posted on our page on facebook. Members in the house all agreed to the use of the new logo in navy blue colour.

SCHOLARSHIP
Bola Olanrewaju inquired about the present school fees paid in our Alma Mata  and gave the figures as:
Staff children paying – N14,800.00 per term
Non staff paying      - N28,600:00 per term
The scholarship is for students of non-staff. John Ojuola urged us to find out what the true position of the school is presently in addition to the report we received from members in Abuja chapter. Bolaji Fodeke agreed that the school is in poor state and suggested that we liaise with the school so we can pay the amount of school fees for staff for the scholarship but John Ojuola in his own view, said we should just go ahead with what we want to do and not depend on the school for anything. Segun Dapo Daramola agreed and advised that our bench mark should be on N28,600.00k for the scholarship payment per student as we have two best students overall in both JS3 and SS3 to pay for. Bolaji Fodeke also advised the presentation of the scholarship should not be done on the closing day for vacation as so many students will not show up in school. Once they are thru with exams they don’t come to school again. The house should work towards getting a date from the school by liaising with them, said Adesina Ogunyebi and if it is staff child that did well, then no scholarship will be given to such that saves our money.

RESPONSE FROM ABUJA AND ZARIA
There are no response yet from Abuja and Zaria chapters.

GENERATE FUNDS
According to Bola Olanrewwaju, other avenues should be sourced for us to get funds, like when a demosaite is leaving the school, certain amount of money should be allowed to be paid into DEMOSA purse thus making him/her a member of the alumni. Segun Dapo Daramola sees it as a good idea and said the impacts of DEMOSA Alumni need be felt by the School its self and the Parents Teachers Association (PTA).  Once they feel the impact of what the alumni is doing, we can start by introducing things like the school sticker, printing of membership cards,  and these dues in the school for graduating students among other things to generate more income. Dapo, also promised to talk to some organizations to partner with our Alumni in assisting us with our projects such as scholarship for students, painting of the school, construction of classroom, organizing seminars, etc as part of their social responsibility.

At exactly 3.30pm Adesina Ogunyebi moved a motion for adjournment to enable us visit Mrs Balogun who came visiting in Lagos and was seconded by John Ojuola.

Next meeting scheduled for 28th of April 2013.

Closing prayer was said by Lateef Suberu.

Minutes taken by  Bola Olanrewaju.
